This blog aims to impartially cover recent events relating to forensic science, including all forms of scientific evidence relevant in criminal cases, as well as new scientific research, policy developments, and legal developments in the area of forensic science.  The Blog is administered by Prof. Brandon L. Garrett at the University of Virginia School of Law and moderated with the help of law student Forensics Fellows, with the  support of the NIST Forensic Science Center of Excellence.  From time to time we will solicit blog contributions and feature new scholarship, court decisions, and developments relating to forensic science.  We also welcome feedback, corrections, and suggestions for additions to this brand new blog.
